Coast of Maine Sprout Island Blend Organic & Natural Seed Starter is a ready-to-go, hand-crafted to offer you what we believe is the ideal compost-based environment for germinating seeds and rooting cuttings. It is a mixture of sphagnum peat moss, well-aged compost, aged bark, perlite, kelp meal, lobster and crab shell meal, worm castings and mycorrhizae. The addition of kelp meal and worm castings create a mild organic fertilizer charge and the perfect biological environment for sprouts.
