The Mitutoyo peak-hold dial tension gauge measures the contact force of an instrument and a workpiece and of components such as electrical relays, micro-switches, valves, and precision springs. This analog gauge shows measurements in Newtons (N) and can display the present force measured in real time or the maximum (peak) force measured over the course of a test. It has a measurement accuracy of + or - 0.5 graduation. The fulcrum has an anti-friction bearing that helps improve measurement accuracy. The meter's body measures 1.85 x 2.17 x 0.75 inches (47 x 55 x 19 mm, H x W x D, where H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is the width, the horizontal distance from left to right; and D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back) and can be held in one hand during use.Force gauges, also called push-pull gauges or tension gauges, measure the tensile (pull) or compression (push) force applied to an object.
