Beautiful hand-blown art glass vase in the Murano style, featuring horizontal multicolor stripes created using the “fascia” technique done hot, where colored glass bands are applied and fused while the glass is molten. The stripes are fully encased within the glass (not painted) and show slight organic variation consistent with hand-crafted studio work.
The vase has a wide rounded body (approx. 6") that tapers into a narrow cylindrical neck with a thick rolled rim, a classic mid-century Italian form. This piece is very heavy for its size, with thick cased glass walls and a solid base. No seams are present, confirming it was hand-blown rather than molded. The entire vase is smooth.
